“Finished reading Roger ‘s book while at the beach a few days ago. Enjoyed the stories and really came to appreciate how tough a law enforcement job is – hard on the individual and the entire family. Dealing with people on a day-to-day basis who have little or no respect for the environment or their fellow man takes a really dedicated person with integrity and high moral standards. The last section about PTSD really hit me hard. I had never really understood how debilitating PTSD was – both physically and psychologically. Roger painted a vivid picture that is both disturbing (because of the lack of awareness and support) and humbling.
